Police facilitates Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings in Kulgam

January 17: On the directions of SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS, police in Kulgam facilitated Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at Police Station Kulgam, PS Yaripora, PS Manzgam, PP Mirbazar and PP Frisal to strengthen Police Public relations.

The meeting at Police Station Yaripora was chaired by Addl. SP Kulgam Shri Shabir Ahmad, while as, the meetings at other police stations were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers in which respectable citizens of Town Kulgam, Sangus Kaharwat, Chawalgam, Humshalibugh, Badroo Frisal, Malpora Akhran Mirbazar and Manzgam participated.

During these meetings, various issues of public importance including eradication of drug abuse, food adulteration, Traffic Jams were discussed. Speaking on the occasion, chairing officers said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestions and support of people for better policing. Officers also thanked the people for participating in these meetings and for providing valuable suggestions. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, chairing officers assured that these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society.

The participants were stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law and order in the areas and in identifying anti-National and anti-Social elements who try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
