In the 17th UT Wushu Championship Khelo India Centre Shopian Emerged as 2nd Runner Up Champions in the Mega Championship. The Championship where more than 1500 players (19 districts and Police team) participated .The six day event concluded on 26th Dec 2023. Jammu emerged as Winners while District Srinagar and Khelo india Centre Shopian remained Runner and 2nd Runner up in the championship. Khelo India Centre Shopian bagged this feat by bagging 8 Gold, 04 Silver and with 10 bronze medals.
At the closing ceremony Secretary J&k sports council Ms Nuzhat Gul remained the Chief guest where she congratulated all the medalists and felicitated Mr Rameez Ahmad (Coach Khelo India Centre Shopian) for his excellent performance in this championship.
