DDC reviews progress of work on key Development Projects in Reasi District

REASI, DECEMBER 08: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi Vishesh Mahajan today convened a meeting to review the physical and financial progress of works being executed by PWD and PMGSY under various heads.

The DC took extensive review of all roads, completed and ongoing and directed to furnish the status of completed roads. He also asked to set the timeline for completion of ongoing projects.

The executing agencies were directed to ensure regular follow up of pending issues like NOC from the Forest Department and supervise all the ongoing works and keep checks on the contractors constructing the roads. The contractors who are causing unnecessary delay in the construction works will be fixed and action shall be taken against them, the Deputy Commissioner added.

DDC instructed the officers to work with utmost dedication and zeal. He asked them to maintain the quality while executing the work and establish a close liaison with the local population so that the progress and quality of the work can be monitored by the public for whom these developmental activities are carried out.

Besides, he directed the engineers to start the allotted works and complete all the works both physically and financially within stipulated time. He said the Reasi administration remains committed to fostering robust infrastructure and sustainable development for the benefit of the local populace.
