Putshai( Lolab) Nov 30: Administrative Secretary, Mining Department(J&K), Dr. Reshmi Singh today presided over a Public Darbar held at Putshai Lolab for a thorough evaluation of public grievances.

The public Darbar served as a platform for PRIs and locals to voice their development concerns and seek resolutions.

The Public Darbar witnessed overwhelming response from the PRIs and public. People apprised the Commissioner Secretary and Deputy Commisioner of various issues ranging from full time BDO for Sogam block, power cuts, illegal mining, pending FRA cases, delay in completion of Cheepora-Changdi-Shatmuqam water supply scheme, opening of PMAY(G) site for geo-tagging of left out beneficiaries, cancellation of attachments and deputations of teachers in other zones and other districts, SHGs for unemployed engineers and other issues of public importance.

Administrative Secretary expressed gratitude to the PRIs and locals for their active participation in Public Darbar despite torrential rains and shivering cold.

Speaking on the occasion, administrative Secretary said that main aim of conducting Public Darbar is to have a convergent bridge between the administration and the people.

Dr.Reshmi Singh , assured the PRIs and general public that their genuine demands and issues will be taken with respective departments for immediate attention.

Dr.Singh congratulated District adminstration lead by DC Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, PRIs and residents for overall development of Kupwara district.

While emphasizing on the importance of gram sabha in ensuring transparency and accountability, Dr.Singh said that it is very important that the Gram Sabha functions, effectively, at the village level . This ensures the effective participation of people in important public welfare decisions, bring about transparency and accountability.

Earlier, while presenting the welcome address, the Deputy Commisioner Kupwara, Ms.Ayushi Sudan welcomed Chief Guest, PRIs and public for their active participation in the Public Darbar.
DC Kupwara said that public darbar is a platform to obtain first hand appraisal from the gross root level, reducing the communication gap between the public and the administration.
Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Mir on the ocasion, thanked administrative secretary for visiting Lolab.He congratulated the Deputy Commisioner Kupwara for taking Kupwara district to new heights of development.

DDC Member Sogam Nasir Lone, and DDC member Hayhama, Haji Sonawallah Khan also spoke on the ocasion and highlighted important issue and demands of their territorial constituencies.

On the ocasion success stories of different centrally sponsored schemes were presented by progressive farmers and successful Entrepreneurs which were applauded by all and became an inspiration for others.
A scintillating cultural programme was presented by students of JNV Putshai which enthralled the participants.

On the ocasion, Chief guest distributed engagement orders of AWWs and Helpers.
Sarpanch Dudi, Machil and Bohipora were felicitated with Abhinandan patras for saturation of Har ghar Jal in their respective Panchayats.
Three projects including construction of BDC Office near Panchayt Ghar Wavoora A, under MGNREGA/UT Capex, Construction of Nayabat and Patwarkhana at Khurhama A under ADF grants, and upgradation of Himal road along with Bridge at Warnow Lolab under District sector were e- inaugurated by chief Guest Dr. Reshmi Singh in presence of Vice chairman, DDC and Deputy Commisioner Kupwara.
ACP Kupwara, Dr. Mudasir presented the vote of thanks.
Public Darbar was attended by ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, PO ICDS, Joint Director Mining Kashmir, Joint Director Planning Kupwara, ASP Kupwara, , SDM Lolab,DIO Kupwara other District Officers and Sectoral Officers.
