Shalbugh Football Community emerged as winners

The Football Tournament organised by Police in Ganderbal under the Civic Action Programme, concluded today at Qamariya Stadium with a grand finale between Hyderia FC Tulamulla and Shalbugh Football Community, which was won by Shalbugh Football Community by 2:1 goals.

During the Grand Finale of the tournament, SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS accompanied by DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS was present on the occasion. SSP Ganderbal appreciated all the teams for taking part in the tournament, especially both the teams were congratulated for playing the grand finale. Further, he laid stressed upon the young & budding players of the district to allow their minds to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of sports like football, volleyball & other games.

It is pertinent to mention here that it was 2nd edition of football tournament organised by Ganderbal Police in consecutive two years. The inauguration match was played on 14/11/2023 & total 08 teams belonging to different areas of the district participated with huge fervour & enthusiasm in the tournament. Ganderbal Police organised different sports events, like volleyball tournament, football tournament & other Co-curricular activities in the district for upliftment of sports among the youth. The main aim & motive of organising such events is to develop brotherhood, love and peace & keeping youth away from the menace of drugs & social evils.

Moreover, officers of Civil & Police Department & spectators were also present on the occasion who witnessed the event with zeal and fervour.

At the conclusion of the final match, award ceremony was conducted and SSP Ganderbal presented trophies, cash rewards & uniforms to both winner & runner up teams & wished them good luck in future.“`
