POONCH, NOVEMBER 14: A review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Mustaq Ahmed, Director, Ministry of Mines to discuss action plan and preparations for smooth and successful conduct of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

It is pertinent to mention that Mustaq Ahmed is the Parbari Officer for the district Poonch.

At the onset of the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary briefed the Parbari Officer about the different central schemes being implemented by different departments in the district.

The DC informed that a Digital Van will traverse across the Panchayats of the District delivering the Prime Minister’s message and hosting promotional events.

The district administration has also prepared a comprehensive schedule to cover all blocks and urban areas, with Nodal Officers assigned specific duties for a smooth yatra passage. He also informed that a control room has been established at district headquarters, headed by the ADDC and other senior officers.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure maximum public participation, particularly youth in Yatra which aim to raise awareness about the Government’s achievements and extend benefits of Centrally Sponsored Schemes to the eligible beneficiaries. He further directed the officers to prepare action plans for their departments and stay informed about the schemes, latest data of beneficiaries and scheme coverage.

Speaking on the occasion, the Parbari Officer stressed the importance of flagship schemes and underlined the need for effective projection of the same to maximize their impact. He stressed the Officers to assess the current status of scheme saturation and outlined strategies to achieve optimal coverage during the Yatra. He also urged all stakeholders to work in synergy, aiming for the smooth implementation of the initiative for achieving saturation under all public welfare schemes.

It is also pertinent to mention that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is going to start from November 21 to December 14 in all Panchayats of the District Poonch which mainly aims at ensuring the effective execution of the Central Government welfare schemes in the District.

The campaign is intended to reach out to the vulnerable people who are eligible for benefits under various government schemes but were yet to receive the same.

The IEC vans will be branded with different government schemes such as kisan credit card, rural housing scheme, Ujjwala scheme, PM Svanidhi yojana among others.

The event will feature screening of developmental videos, skits on natural farming by local talent based on the ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ theme, sharing of success stories by beneficiaries like ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ in the language of the region.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Dev. Commissioner Poonch, Sandesh Kumar Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik, Assistant Commissioner Poonch, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Chief Planing Officer, Maqsoos Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah, Chief Medical Officer, Anees Altaf Nabi, Chief Education Officer, Bishamber Dass, Xen PHE, Riaz Ahmed, Xen, District Informatic Officer, Narinder Singh, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr.Younis, District Social Welfare Officer, Mohinder Paul, Chief Horticulture Officer, Sanjeev Kumar, STO/ADFood Supply, Waheed Ahmed, LDM, Ashutosh Koul Raj, District Agriculture Officer, Munshi Ram, CDPO, Adil Shabir, BDOs besides all concerned officers were present.
