SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 09: In connection with the fifth phase of Back to Village (B2V-5) programme, the Cultural Unit Kashmir DIPR today organised a variety Cultural Program at Pandit Bhajan Sopori Auditorium, Department of Information and Public Relations J&K.

It is worth mentioning here that B2V-5 is J&K Government’s flagship public outreach, participation and feedback programme.

The artists presented thematic songs highlighting the success of previous back to village campaigns and the prosperity witnessed by the rural population of Jammu and Kashmir under different government schemes and programs.

Officers and officials of the Cultural Unit Kashmir, Joint Directorate of Information Kashmir division and Directorate of Information were present on the occasion.

Legal Services Day observed at Budgam

BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 09: On the eve of celebration of Legal Services Week, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam under the guidance of Chairman DLSA, Budgam, Khalil Ahmad Choudhary and under the supervision of Secretary/Civil Judge (Sr. Division) Jehangir Ahmad Bakhshi today organized a day long programme in collaboration with Government Higher Secondary Khan Sahib at the conference hall of the higher secondary.

During the programme, Advocate Ahsan Gul, Resource Person from DLSA Budgam thoroughly discussed the role of DLSA. He highlighted the role of legal Literacy Clubs vis-à-vis generating legal knowledge amongst the students.

The programme was presided over by Principal, Dr. Mohd Maqbool. The programme was attended by the staff of school and DLSA, PLVS and panel lawyers of DLSA, Budgam.

Furthermore as part of the celebration, a Mobile vehicle was flagged-off from the office of the Municipal Committee, Khan Sahib by Nazir Ahmad Executive Officer Municipal Committee Khansahib which passed through the streets of the town Khan Sahib, Yarikhah raising awareness through mounted loudspeaker regarding the role of DLSA.

PLVs, Mehraj Ahmad Shah, Muneer Ahmad Shah, Aijaz Ahmad Mir and Gowher Ah Dar also distributed pamphlets of DLSA among people.

Also, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Chadoora observed Legal Services Day at Court Complex Chadoora.

A similar kind of programme was organized at TLSC Magam at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Magam.

TLSC Beerwah also organized a day-long programme at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Beerwah.

It is apt to mention here that PLVs of DLSA/TLSCs also conducted door to door awareness on the eve of observance of Legal Services week at different hamlets of District Budgam.
