DDC Chairperson Ramban kick starts work on road projects in sub- division Gool

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 06: Chairperson District Development Council Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today kick started construction work on two road projects in Sub-Division Gool taken up at a cost of Rs 13.47 cr under NABARD.

The Chairperson launched the construction work on 3 KM long Kapanbass to Aloktop road at an allotted cost of Rs. 7.15 crore in presence of local PRI, civil society members and officials.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson launched the work on another 4 KM road from Jamia Masjid Thetharka to Sangalkundi via Panchayat Ghar Seripura with an allotted cost of Rs. 6.32 crore, also funded by NABARD.

AEE Vimal Sidha, JE Haider Ali, Sarpanches, PRIs and general public were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairperson said that with the completion of the project, a long pending demand of the area will be fulfilled which will go a long way in easing the life of locals.

The Chairperson directed the officers of PW (R&B) Department and line Departments to ensure quality and timely completion of the construction work which will benefit thousands of souls of the area.

She asked the PRIs to personally monitor the execution of work to ensure quality and timely completion of development projects and implementation of all youth and beneficiary oriented schemes in their respective areas.

The Chairperson also interacted with the people and listened to their issues of developmental needs.
