Stress laid to bridge gender gap; mapping of PwD electors

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 05: The District Election Department Ramban, under the overall supervision of District Election Officer, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, on Sunday organised Special camps at all Polling Stations across the district.

The ERO AC-54-Ramban Giasul-Haq along with Deputy District Election Officer Lal Chand conducted an extensive tour and inspected various Polling Stations of the Assembly Constituency Ramban.

During the tour, the officers visited Polling Stations including 62 and 63 at Government Higher Secondary School, Ramban, 99 at Government Middle School, Maitra, Polling Stations 104 and 117 at Government High School Chanderkote and 116 Kunfer-A at Panchayat Ghar, Chanderkote.

Obtaining first hand feedback from the BLOs on the status of claims and objections received during the ongoing Special Summary Revision, especially on Special camps, they laid stress on bridging the gender gap, besides increasing the Aadhar coverage of all electors and mapping of PwD electors.

Interacting with the PRIs, the officers asked them to ensure that all persons of their respective areas above the age of 18 years or attain the age of 18 on 01.01.2024 are registered as voters during the ongoing Special Summary Revision.

Meanwhile, ERO, AC-55-Banihal Zaheer Abass Bhat also inspected various Polling Stations of Assembly Constituency. He also sensitized the BLOs about receiving the required documents while obtaining the Form 6 under addition category.

Moreover, the AEROs also inspected Polling Stations of their respective jurisdictions during the Special camp day.
