Police Public School Bemina,Srinagar celebrates annual day

Jammu and Kashmir police public School Srinagar celebrated its annual day at Tagore Hall today in an impressive function. On the occasion Sh R R Bhatnagar advisor to hon’ble LG was the chief guest while Sh Dilbag Singh DGP J&K accompanied by Dr Rubinder Kour chairperson PWWA was-the guest of honour. Sh SJM Gilani ADGP Armed along with Mrs Pallavi Gilani senior PWWA member, Mrs Archana Chaudhary and Mrs Snehal Vijay senior PWWA members, Sh Sujit KumarDIG CKR, Sh Ajaz Asad DC Srinagar, Sh Ashish Mishra SSP Srinagar and other officers and PWWA members were present on the occasion.

In honour of the special guests, DIG Sh Sujit kumar felicitated the chief guest Sh Bhatnagar and guest of honour Sh Dilbag Singh while Mrs Snigdha Singh Principal of PPS felicitated Dr Rubinder Kour.

The program started with the singing of National anthem followed by lightning of lamp by the guests. In her welcome address Mrs Snigdha spoke about the endeavour the school is undertaking for its improvement and how the department has stood behind the school.

DrRubinder Kour the Chairperson of PWWA presented the progress report of all the seven schools run by PWWA. She put out details of achievements made by PPS schools in academic as well as extra curricular activities.

The students put up star performances in several song and dance programs. Skit was full of humour. The theme of the performances remained national unity and communal harmony. Audience numbering about 500 which included Parents and students were seen enjoying thoroughly.


To boost morale of the teachers and students who performed , medals and trophies were presented to them by the special guests Sh Bhatnagar, Sh Dilbag Singh and Dr Rubinder Kaur.

Sh.Dilbag Singh DGP J&K said these events are not for entertainment alone but are in fact a medium to encourage students. He said a trophy might not cost much but it greatly contributes to a child’s future.

At the conclusion of the program, the chief guest, guests of honour and other special guests were presented with mementos which consisted of hand made drawings by students of the school.
