DDC Kulgam reviews progress of  JJM in district

KULGAM, OCTOBER 18: The Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi Ud Din Bhat chaired a meeting of officers at Mini-secretariat to review progress achieved in Jal Jeevan Mission works.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather, ACR Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, SDM Noorabad Bashir Ul Hassan, JDP Zahid Sajjad, SE Hydraulic Circle Anantnag/ Kulgam, Project Manager DPMU JJM Kulgam, Exen Special PHE Division Kulgam, Exen PHE Division Qazigund and other concerned officers.

It was revealed that out of 222 works, 217 have been already tendered and allotted.

Regarding tube wells, out of 15, work is in progress for 11 and 3 have been completed and handed over to the Jal Shakti department.

It was also shared that work is going on for the construction of 36 rapid sand filtration plants, pipe fittings, GSRs, and slow sand filtration plants.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized to give finishing touch to the ready-to-complete schemes and obtaining Har Gar Jal certification.

He also instructed to ensure completion of all works within the stipulated timeframe.
