82 Battalion CRPF Organizes Highly Successful Medical Camp in Srinagar, Fostering Community Well-being and Collaboration

Srinagar, October 07, 2023 –
In a remarkable demonstration of community service and collaboration, the 82 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Srinagar Sector, organized an immensely successful medical camp at Lati Mohalla, Rainawari, Srinagar.

This medical camp, which is part of a series of Civic Action Plans under the auspices of the Srinagar Sector CRPF, took place on October 7, 2023. The event aimed to extend crucial medical services to the local population, enhance community health, and promote a sense of unity between the CRPF and the residents of Lati Mohalla.

The medical camp received an overwhelming response from the local residents, who attended in large numbers. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Shri. Mathew A. John, DIG CRPF Srinagar South, Shri. Balihar Singh, Comdt 161 Bn; Shri. Alok Veer Yadav, Comdt 21 Bn CRPF. Also, SHO Rainawari; Pramukh Nishar Ahamd, and Sarpanch Mukhtiyar Ahmad Sofi remained present during the camp. Three medical officers from CRPF, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Munwar Sultan and Dr. Mumtaz Hussain toiled throughout the day and extended medical consultations to the patients from all age groups.

The medical camp not only provided essential medical check-ups but also facilitated the distribution of necessary medicines tailored to the specific needs of patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to healthcare.

The team of officers of 82 Bn actively participated in the event and engaged with the locals, fostering a strong sense of community connection. The positive impact of this initiative was evident as the locals wholeheartedly praised the CRPF’s efforts and fervently requested them to continue such noble endeavors in the future.

Shri. Firoj Kujur, Comdt-82 BN CRPF, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests from CRPF, the police, the medical fraternity, and the local community for their active participation and enthusiastic engagement, which contributed to the medical camp’s resounding success. He emphasized CRPF’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of the community it serves, extending beyond the call of duty.

Shri. Mathew A John, DIG CRPF Srinagar South, commended the collaborative efforts of both CRPF personnel and local residents, highlighting the significance of such events in strengthening the bond between law enforcement agencies and the public. He actively engaged with the attendees, including members of Intazamia committees and discussed the challenges that they face in the area.

He stated that the success of the medical camp stands as a testament to CRPF’s dedication to community welfare and its relentless pursuit of excellence in ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens. He also congratulated the 82 BN CRPF for its ongoing commitment to initiatives that contribute to the holistic growth and development of the regions it operates in.
