UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 1: The District Administration Udhampur on Sunday conducted a community mobilization and sanitation drive as part of the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign to raise awareness about cleanliness among the masses.

The drive was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, in the presence of SSP Dr. Vinod Kumar, ADDC Ghan Sham Singh, ADC Joginder Singh Jasrotia, and numerous PRI members including general public, and senior district officers.

In her address, Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of maintaining sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene. She called upon all stakeholders to collaborate in spreading awareness about cleanliness and outlined the objectives of the sanitation drive. She encouraged the public to pledge their commitment to keeping the district clean and green through active participation. She expressed gratitude to all participants and urged them to continue supporting future cleanliness initiatives led by the District Administration.

Deputy Commissioner along with SSP Udhampur, actively participated in the cleanliness drive, leading a march from the DC office to Domel Chowk as part of the campaign.

Simultaneously, similar cleanliness and sanitation drives were organized in every Block/Tehsil Headquarter, including all Municipal wards across the district. The drives saw the active participation of PRI members, district officials, the general public, NGOs, Karam Karte Chalo Bharat Scouts and Guides, students, and staff from various educational institutions.
