Credit disbursement of Rs 193.55 crore against the yearly target of Rs.879.06 crore made for Quarter Ist of FY 2023-24

GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 26: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting of the district to review the performance related to quarter Ist ending June 2023 of FY 2023-24.

Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Shabir A. Dar informed the meeting that banks operating in the district have disbursed an amount of Rs 89.90 Crore in priority sector against the annual target of Rs. 654.44 crore and Rs 103.64 Crore in non-priority sector against the annual target of Rs. 224.62 Crore.

Thus there has been a total credit disbursement of 193.55 crores against the yearly target of Rs.879.06 crore registering an achievement of 22% of the annual credit plan for Ist quarter ending June 2023 of FY 2023-24.

It was further informed that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs 69.74 Crore under priority sector and 72.08 crore under non priority sector aggregating to total credit of Rs 141.82 showing an achievement of 20% contribution towards total credit dispensation in the district.

The DDC emphasized the need for improving the credit flow in Agriculture and allied sectors under HADP plan. The performance with respect to social security schemes under Jansurakhsha was also discussed and the chair emphasized the need for roping in the people under social security schemes with joint coordination of all concerned agencies.

Besides reviewing the performance of Banks and Govt. departments under various schemes, the DDC directed the line agencies to sponsor quality cases and the Banks for speedy disposal of Govt. Sponsored cases.

The meeting was also attended by AGM, RBI; Sanjeev Sharma; Lead District Manager Ganderbal, Shabir A Dar; DDM, NABARD, GM, DIC Ganderbal, DAHO, CHO, AD H&H, AD, Employment, District Coordinators of all the Banks and other development agencies.
