KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 14: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Thursday convened a meeting of engineers of JJM and other line departments at DC office complex here to review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.

Superintending Engineer Jal Shakti, Er. Mohammad Saleem Malik while briefing the DC about the progress of different schemes of the JJM through a detailed PowerPoint presentation (PPT) said that there are a total of 116 schemes which include 231 works under JJM in the district.

While taking a detailed review of all the works, DDC stressed on gearing up all resources to speed up the progress on execution of all the works and their timely completion.

She asked the concerned engineers of JJM to adhere to the timelines and meet them, ensure the availability of sufficient number of tankers and provide the tanker service where it is needed and make the tankers functional and road- worthy within 7 days.

The DDC directed the concerned to get the Har Ghar Jal certification of 10 panchayats each from Tangdhar, Kupwara and Handwara subdivisions on priority.

She also directed concerned engineers to safeguard the assets of other departments while executing the JJM schemes and strictly ensure the restoration of assets particularly road patches within the shortest possible time.

She directed all the engineers and concerned officers to work in coordination and ensure smooth execution of JJM schemes in the district.

SE Hydraulics, circle Kupwara, JD Planning, Ex. Engineers of PHE Kupwara, PHE Handwara, PMGSY, PHE Mechanical, Irrigation & Flood Control, CEO Kupwara, AEEs and other concerned were present in the meeting.
