KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 13: Strategic Kijai Bridge 118 RCC Sampark unveiled and dedicated to the Public the other day is poised to foster new trade opportunities in District Kishtwar by connecting the regions of Jammu and Shimla.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in a momentous occasion, on Tuesday e-inaugurated 90 critical infrastructure projects meticulously crafted by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across different parts of India.

Among these remarkable projects, the Kijai Bridge of Paddar Sub Division Paddar, District Kishtwar stands as a symbol of strategic significance and regional development.

Beyond its strategic importance for defense purposes, this bridge is poised to catalyze the overall development of the Jammu region. It is set to foster trade opportunities and uplift the local communities, marking it as a cornerstone of progress.

The inauguration ceremony was conducted under the distinguished presence of CO 17 RR Col Ameya Chiplunkar and SDM Padder Arun Kumar Badyal, DDC member Paddar Hari Krishan Chauhan.

In the wake of these achievements, the Border Roads Organisation is set to embark on the ambitious Sansari axis project. This initiative will see the construction of new roads extending up to Killar, reaffirming BRO’s commitment to enhance connectivity and accessibility in the region.

The tireless efforts of the Border Roads Organisation have garnered heartfelt appreciation from Raksha Mantri and Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, Dr Jitender Singh. The commendation underscores the pivotal role played by BRO in fortifying the nation’s infrastructure and promoting economic growth.

These initiatives underscore the government’s unwavering commitment to bolster the nation’s defense capabilities while simultaneously spurring socio-economic progress in the region.
