CRPF Srinagar Sector Inter Battalion/GC Tug of War competition concludes

The two day long Srinagar Sector Inter Battalion/GC Tug of War Competition 2023 concluded after enthralling matches between the teams. Shri Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South and Shri Jai Dev Kesari, DIG, Range Srinagar North graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively along with the senior officers of the Force. The competition was organized by 54 Battalion of Srinagar Sector, CRPF under the supervision of Shri Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, Commandant. After the final match which was conducted in presence of the Guests today, an impeccable March past was done by the participating teams. Shri Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South formally declared the games closed after taking the salute of the marching teams and addressing the gathering.

23 teams participated in the mega event vying for the Trophy. The conspicuous display of strength, perseverance, team spirit, and passion captivated the audience that kept cheering for the players. 73 Battalion emerged as the undefeated Champions of the tournament, while 79 Battalion was the Runner Up with 44 Battalion bagging the third Prize.

Congratulating the Winners for their victory, Shri Mathew A. John, DIG, Range Srinagar South extended his best wishes to the participating teams for their exceptional performance and wished them the best. He lauded team 54 Battalion for successfully organizing the competition. Thanking the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour for their august presence, Shri Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, Commandant, 54 Battalion congratulated the teams for having gathered an enriching experience and memories worth treasuring. He informed that all the teams participated in the competition with great zeal and had displayed sportsmanship attuned to the ethos and culture of CRPF.
