Awareness programme on Women Hygiene & Health held at Directorate of Agriculture, Lalmandi

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 02: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today presided over an awareness programme on ‘Women Hygiene and Health’ at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi Srinagar.

The day long programme was organised by UN member Biotech Research group named ‘’TIENS International” in collaboration with Agriculture and Farmer Welfare department Kashmir.

In his presidential address Chowdhury Iqbal said that the department has professional obligation to hold sensitisation programme to highlight the importance of women health and hygiene for the larger welfare of the society. He said poor hygiene impact all types of health including physical and mental health.

Director said that department is committed to provide its complete support to such important societal programmes. He asked the officers to ensure that all the possible steps are taken to make the department gender friendly in all respects.

Asifa Nabi Asstt. Bio-Chemist, Dr. Anjum Rashid Floriculturist and Sabina Khan Associate Law Officer also shared their views on the importance of awareness programme related to women’s health and hygiene.

In her welcome address, Sheeba Mehraj Coordinator for the programme gave an overview of the awareness programme and the objectives that it aims to achieve.

All the women Officers, officials of the directorate of agriculture participated in the awareness programme.
