Mission Director reviews functioning of ICDS (POSHAN Projects) in District Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, AUGUST 30: Mission Director POSHAN J&K, Rubina Kousar conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing ICDS-Poshan Projects in Kishtwar district. The review took place in the Conference Hall at DC Office Kishtwar.

Accompanying her was Devinder Singh Katoch, Joint Director, Mission POSHAN, J&K.

During the meeting, District Programme Officer Mission POSHAN Kishtwar, Rishi Kumar Sharma gave a detailed presentation, highlighting the project wise achievements of different ongoing POSHAN schemes in the district. Attendees included CDPOs (Child Development Project Officers) and Supervisors from all eight Poshan Projects in District Kishtwar.

The Mission Director examined the financial and physical progress of all projects within the district, encompassing schemes such as PMMVY (Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana), Poshan tracker, SNP (Supplementary Nutrition Programme), ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education), Geo-tagging of AWCs (Anganwadi Centers), Honorarium, Rent, and expenditures across different categories.

Furthermore, the recruitment process for Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in all the Poshan projects of District Kishtwar was thoroughly reviewed. Immediate directives were issued to fill any remaining vacancies for Sanginis and Sahayikas, in accordance with established rules and regulations.

Additionally, the Mission Director instructed each CDPO to oversee the procurement process of SNP and maintain accurate records of all procurement activities. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
