Inter-District Provincial Level Taekwondo Competitions Gets Underway

Srinagar August 30: Director Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K, Subash C Chhibber on Wednesday declared Inter-District Provincial Level tournament open at Indoor Stadium Polo Ground here. He was accompanied by Joint Director Kashmir of the Department Waseem Raja and District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar Ghulam Hassan Lone. Speaking on the occasion, Director YSS stated that our youth have achieved many laurels for the UT in the sport of Taekwondo and we expect that the final team from J&K would perform to the best of their talent and capabilities in the forthcoming National Level event in the game. “Playing sports is a great way for children to learn new skills, stay active, and have fun. Our Department is continuously promoting the spirit of play among youth and it is helping our younger generation to grow healthy and smart” he added. He also administered an anti-drug oath to all the participants.

Lastly, JD Kashmir presented a vote of thanks. Pertinently about 140 young student players from different schools of the Kashmir province are taking part in the two-day activity which shall conclude on the 31st of the current month. These competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services Sports J&K for the boys of all age groups (AAG).
