KISHTWAR, AUGUST 26: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today convened a significant meeting with district officers of Key Departments in his office chamber to assess the arrangements and preparations for the celebration of upcoming Digital J&K Week-2023.

The week-long event, scheduled for the first week of September, aims to promote digital literacy and empower the people of the region with online services in Public service Deliverance.

During the meeting, discussions centered around the lineup of activities planned for the Digital Week celebration.

The DC highlighted that the UT government has introduced digital services to enhance public convenience and ensure transparency in services delivery to citizens.

A diverse range of activities, scheduled for the digital festival, were thoroughly deliberated upon, along with strategies for the successful execution.

The Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among all departments to formulate a comprehensive plan that ensures an engaging and vibrant Digital Week celebration.

It was announced that departments will facilitate online services through dedicated booths, providing convenience to the general public.

Moreover, awareness campaigns will be conducted across the district to acquaint residents with various government programs and online services, thus enabling them to benefit from these community-focused initiatives during the Digital Melas held from 31st August to 2nd September 2023.

District Heads received directives on how to effectively promote their online services, while collaborating with the District Administration to ensure the success of the Digital Week celebrations.

Furthermore, the DC emphasized the engagement of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) students and field functionaries to generate awareness about Online Services Delivery throughout the digital week.

The meeting saw the presence of notable officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; Tehsildar HQ, Chander Shekhar Sharma; District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed Lone and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. M Y Mir along with representatives from various key departments.
