A UT-level pahari variety show was held at the cultural hall in which various leading poets of Pahari language from the different districts presented their poetry. While the artists of Pahari Cultural Club were present there by presenting folk songs and received appreciatation from the attendees. The chief guest in this event was famous poet Prem Sagar Kalia popularly known as Sagar Pandit in the literary world.

Former MLA Karnah Advocate Raja Manzoor, Bar President karnah Qazi Mehboob, Chairman Civil Society Karna Peerzada SD Qureshi were also present in this program. Apart from this, the officials associated with the pahari literature organizations, panchayat members and ex-military personnel were also present there. Famous poet Azim Khan, Aziz Dashnoi, Syed Hafeez Masoudi participated in the program. Abdul Rasheed Qureshi, Abdul Rasheed Lone Ghamgin, Parveez Manus, Danish Ishfaq Turk, Khawaja Parveez, Iftikhar Qureshi, Mashkur Shad Presented their latest poetry regarding G20. The well-known writer and poet Mir Haider Nadeem performed the duties of organizing this mushaira.Dr Abdul Hafeez Masoudi, Director General, Survey, j & k and a well-known poet and writer, presented his latest poem on Shamsbari Pahari and described the movement of Karnah and Karen. Also the students of New light public school chamkot show their performance in pahari song and dance. The second session of the program started with Pahari music, during which Sajjad Qureshi’s team presented the Pahari song ‘Ise Pahari Putra Paharan De’ which enthralled the gathering and some people started doing traditional ‘folk dance’. Meanwhile, Maqsood Ahmed, senior producer of All India Radio srinagar’s popular program “shaherbeen and pahari” thanked the guests for participating in the program and said that similar programs will be held in remote areas in the future as well. Meanwhile, he also thanked the commander of 104 Infantry Brigade NK Das and the officials of Karnah Cultural Club and said that the army has offered full support in organizing this program in Karnah. It is known that the radio team reached Karna on August 23, which included Zameer Andrabi, Premjit Singh and Zubair Qureshi. The team headed by Shaherbeen Supervisor Maqsood Ahmed reached back to Srinagar on Friday where a team of journalists in Karalpura met the team headed by well-known journalist Ashraf Chirag and demanded that similar hill culture shows should be organized in Machil Jamgund and other border areas. Maqsood Ahmed assured them that in the future such programs should be organized in these areas as well so that the talent of the youth can be enhanced. These Programs will be also organized in uri and Gurez in future for which all preparations are completed.
