S.P College Srinagar organizes ‘Mehfil-e-Mushaira

In connection with Independence Day Celebrations, 2023 as part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and under the banners of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’, the Cultural and Extension Activities Committee of Sri Pratap College Srinagar today organized a day-long ‘Mehfil-e-Mushaira’ in collaboration with the Department of Urdu.

The event was attended by Principal of the College, Prof (Dr) Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi along with faculty members and students of various teaching departments.

In his inaugural address, the Principal of the College reiterated the importance of advocating the cause of Urdu language and impressed upon all the attendees to make significant contributions to keep the language growing and flourishing.

The Mushaira was coordinated by Dr. Najam Bhat from the Department of Urdu. Students and faculty presented their compositions for which they received appraise from one and all. All the participants were presented with certificates.
