Democratic Progressive Azad Party Vice President Kashmir Provincial and Chairman of Jaffari Council Jammu and Kashmir Haji Musadiq Hussain Manhas on Wednesday expressed concern over the lack of basic amenities in Zalpora, Nowgam areas and urged the L G Administration to look into the grievances of people from Shai Dominated Areas of Sonawari.
Haji Musadiq Hussain Manhas besides him Sonawari constituency incharge Zahoor Ahmad bhat and District Secretary Nazir Ahmad Parray on Wednesday visited Zalpora and Nowgam villages of Sonawari area in Bandipora district and reviewed the facilities and ahead of Muharram Ul Haraam.

Haji Musadiq Hussain Manhas urged the LG administration and district administration to ensure all basic civic amenities to people in view of the forthcoming Muharram. “Government should review all the arrangements and direct the concerned district commissioners and various stakeholder departments to converge their efforts to ensure smooth conduct of Muharram, especially during procession days, so that people don’t face any inconvenience on account of paucity of different facilities and civic amenities,”
He also urged the administration to ensure that streetlights in and around religious places are made fully functional. “Sanitation and cleanliness drives should be ensured throughout the month on priority. The endeavor of the government should be to ensure that the devotees get every type of facility,”
He said that “The area has badly suffered from the continuous downpour of rain, resulting in water logging and inconvenience to the teachers and students”,
Haji Musadiq also requested the concerned authority to look into the grievances and address them at the earliest.
