YSS Ganderbal conducted an Intramural in the Discipline of Volleyball for Boys and Girls at BHS Gutlibagh Ganderbal. The Event witnessed the Enthusiastic participation of 80 budding boys and girls Volleyball players of BHS Gutlibagh. The meritorious student Teams were felicitated with well-deserved medals by the Headmaster BHS Gutlibagh after the culmination of the activity.
Moreover Zonal Physical Education office Tullamulla Organized a Zonal level Inter School YOGA competition for Girls AAG. The Competition was held at BHSS Wakura in which a Total of 70 enthusiastic students participated from both Government and Private Institutions of the said Zone. Likewise event was conducted by Zone Hariganiwan at BHSS Hariganiwan in which a large number of students participated from various schools of the Zone. Furthermore Zonal Physical Education office Kangan Organized a Zonal level Inter School Cricket competition for boys U/14 years. The Competition was held at Chinner Ground for Pool A and at BMS Preng for Pool B with a Total Participation of 156 student players from both Government and Private Institutions.
*District Budgam*
The Department of Youth Services and Sports Budgam organized inter-school zonal level tournaments throughout the District Budgam. Zone NARBAL organized inter school zonal level VOLLEYBALL Competition for U/14 & U/17 Boys at Two different venues BMS Mazhama and GMS RAZWAN. An overwhelming response of U/14, U/17 BOYS has been recorded at the two venues from different Government and Private schools of zone Narbal. Zone Hardpanzoo organized FOOTBALL U/19 for both boys and girls at HSS HARDPANZOO. The inauguration of the event was done by I/C Activity ZPEO Hardpanzoo MR.Farooq Ahmad Sheikh with other officials of zone Hardpanzoo. Zone Budgam conducted Kabaddi competition for girls U/14, U/17 and U 19 years at BHSS BUDGAM. Zone Beerwah Organized Inter School Zonal Level Kabaddi Boys For U/14 And U/17 At DIET Ground Beerwah. Zone Dreygam Organized Inter School Zonal Level Volleyball Boys AAG At HSS Parnewa & GHS Ichigam. The said event was inaugurated by In-charge Activity Mr. Farooq Sajad at HSS Parnewa in which 167 participants have successfully participated. Zone Chadoora organized chess and Carom competition of U/19 girls and football for AAG Girls at open ground Rangar Chadoora. Zone MAGAM organized Judo & Taekwondo AAG GIRLS at Spartans Club Magam in which 36 participants from different Govt. and Private Schools have participated with great enthusiasm. Zone B.K Pora
organized Football Competition of Boys under U/14. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Yaseen Qadir Principal HSS Wathoora and convener Shri. Jogindar Sing (PEM) HSS Wathoora along with other officials of zone B.K Pora. ZONE SOIBUGH Organized Football of Boys under U- 19 at Digital Ground Daharmunah. The said event was inaugurated by Overall in charge Mr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat PEM, along with other officials of Zone Soibugh.

Empowering Youth Through Adventure and Sports: Trekking, Inter-School Competitions, and Martial Arts Shine Across North Kashmir:
District Kupwara:
The Department of Youth Services & Sports in District Kupwara, has been organizing Trekking programs for students between the ages of 14 and 17. As part of these programs, a special Trekking program for Girl Students commenced on July 15, 2023. Today, the program took place at various locations in the district, witnessing the participation of a large number of students.
The Trekking program for Girl Students was inaugurated by the presence of DDC, BDCs and other PRIs at the respective locations. Speaking on the occasion, the PRI’s emphasized the importance of Trekking and encouraged the participants to display discipline throughout the program. They commended the Department of Youth Services & Sports for organizing such programs, considering them a necessity in the face of prevalent social evils.
The Trekking program was conducted at the Zonal Headquarters of Handwara, Villgam, Kralpora, and Trehgam. A remarkable turnout of students was observed, with 361, 524, 222, and 207 participants at the respective locations within the zones.
District Baramulla:
The District Youth Services & Sports Office Baramulla is pleased to announce the continuation of inter-school competitions for under 14 and under 17 boys and girls across different educational zones in District Baramulla. Zone Baramulla kick-started the inter-school competition for under 14 and under 17 boys in the sports disciplines of volleyball, kho kho, and kabaddi today. The event witnessed a vibrant and enthusiastic participation of more than 800 students.
The inter-school competitions, organized by the Youth Services & Sports Department in Baramulla, aim to promote sports and physical activities among the youth of Baramulla. These competitions provide a platform for students to showcase their skills, fostering a healthy and competitive spirit among the participants.
The event held in Zone Baramulla witnessed an impressive turnout of young athletes who displayed great sportsmanship and determination. More than 800 students from various schools actively participated, showcasing their prowess in volleyball, kho kho, and kabaddi.
These inter-school competitions continued across different educational zones in the district, including Zone Wagoora, Zone Chandanwari, Zone Sopore, Zone Fatehgarh, and Zone Dangiwacha.
The department remains committed to fostering a culture of sports and physical fitness in the district and will continue organizing such events in the future.
Bandipora District:
In Bandipora District, the Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K successfully conducted an Inter-School Martial Art Competition at HSS Nadihal. Students from multiple schools participated and showcased their skills in various forms of martial arts.
The Chief Guest for the event was ZPEO Bandipora, Gh Mohidin Dar, who added significance to the occasion. The competition aimed to promote physical fitness, discipline, and self-defense skills among students.
Participants exhibited exceptional talent, dedication, and discipline, captivating the audience with their performances in Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, and Kung Fu. The event concluded with an awards ceremony, where outstanding participants were recognized for their achievements.
