DLSA Samba launches weeklong tree plantation drive

In a significant move towards preservation and restoration of the depleting Environment, District Legal Services Authority Samba, under the supervision of the Chairman, Yesh Paul Kotwal (also Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge), today launched a weeklong tree plantation drive in collaboration with the Forest Division here in the District Court Complex.

The drive aims to stimulate the worldwide awareness of Environment Conservation and was formally inaugurated by Yesh Paul Kotwal, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Samba (also Pr. District & Sessions Judge Samba). During the drive, around 400-500 saplings will be planted in and around the District Samba.

The event witnessed the participation of Adnan Sayeed, Additional Sessions Judge; Preet Simran K. The objective of organizing the Weeklong tree plantation drive is to raise awareness as to how these trees are an investment for the future generations that shall provide natural shade in open spaces and provide cleaner air to breathe by increasing green cover.
