DLSA-Kulgam, DLSA-Anantnag celebrate ‘World Population Day’; organise Awareness programme at Qazigund

The District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) of Kulgam and Anantnag in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Qazigund today organized an awareness programme with regard to World Population Day at Town Hall Qazigund.

More than 200 Ashas and Anganwadi workers participated in the event.

The participants were addressed on Health issues by Dr. Neelofar, Consultant Gynaecologist Emergency Hospital Qazigund, on legal issues by Adv. Aamir Hamid, various initiatives of government favouring females by Tehsildar Qazigund, Khurshid Ahmed Tantray and moderated by Deputy LADC, Adv Roshan Aara.

Secretary DLSA gave an overall view of the importance of this day and the role of Asha workers and Anganwadi workers in executing this year’s theme which is “Unleashing the power of gender equality uplifting the voices of women and girls to unlock the world’s infinity possibilities”.

The programme was conducted under the supervision of Secretary DLSA Kulgam, Tabassum Qadir Parray and was attended Dr. Khurshid Ahmad Tantary, Tehsildar Qazigund; Dr. Nelofer ( Gynecologist Emergency hospital Qazigund ); Khalida Iqbal (ICDS Supervisor Qazigund); Sajad Hussain, Statistical Officers Block Development Office Qazigund; Roshan Aara, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel; Advocate Amir Hamid Wani, Panel Lawyer TLSC Qazigund; Advocate Zahida Aman (Panel Lawyar TLSC Qazigund); PLV’s, working staff of District Legal Services Authority Kulgam and Tehsil Legal Services Committee Qazigund.
