DC Poonch discusses Arrangements for Muharram

Deputy Commissioner Yasin M. Choudhary today chaired a meeting in the DC office to discuss the arrangements for the Muharram.

Representatives of various religious organizations attended the meeting and sought adequate arrangements for uninterrupted supply of water and electricity, ration distribution, traffic management, cleanliness in and around the Imam Baras, repair of Mandi road, security arrangement, medical facilities etc in Tehsil Haveli and other tehsils of the district.

After a detailed discussion, the Deputy Commissioner patiently listened to all the demands and directed the concerned officers to make the necessary arrangements. He instructed the officers of PHE and PDD to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply during Muharram in the district. He asked the Municipality authorities to ensure cleanliness in and around the Imam Baras for the convenience of the devotees.

The DC emphasized on making proper arrangements of water, power, sanitation, medical facilities, ration, Gas, firewood, traffic etc across the district.

The DC also urged the religious representatives to cooperate with the administration for making the arrangements.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinay Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tahir Mustafa Malik; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; Tehsildar Mandi, Shazad Latief Khan; Tehsildar Hqr, Jhangir Hussain; ARTO/ District Information Officer Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, EO MC, Mohammad Hanief; Assistant Director, FCS/CA, Ranjeet Singh; Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Parviaz Ahmed Khan, District Agriculture Officer, Harvinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Haveli, Maroof Khan; Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, besides religious heads including President DGPC, Narinder Singh, President Anjuman Jafaria Poonch, Intzaar Hussain Sofi, and other Ajmunam Jafaria heads, Adv. Mohd. Zaman, Taj Mir, President Dashnami Ahkara Poonch, Master Harbans Lal, President SDS, Khetar Pal besides all concerned officers and representatives were present in the meeting.
