The Government Degree College (GDC) Ajas, Bandipora today organised Annual College Road Race-2023 to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and community engagement among the participants.

The event was flagged-off by the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Parveen Kousar at 06:00 AM and commenced from Petrol Pump Saderkoot Bala and concluded at the college premises, covering a scenic route showcasing the natural beauty of the region.

The race witnessed fierce competition, with several participants displaying their athleticism and determination throughout the course.

Muzamil Ahmad Mir from the 5th Semester emerged as the winner of the Annual College Road Race (Boys) 2023. Moin-ul-Islam from 5th Semester showcased tremendous skill and determination, securing the second position in the race while Mumtaz Ahmad from 2nd Semester with his impressive endurance and unwavering determination clinched the third position in the Annual Road Race 2023.

The Annual Road Race proved to be an exhilarating event for both the participants and the spectators.

The event received widespread support and witnessed a significant turnout from students, faculty, and the local community.

The organizing committee ensured the event’s success by implementing effective logistical arrangements, including route planning, security measures, and medical support.

In her concluding remarks, College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Parveen Kousar expressed gratitude to the District Administration Bandipora and the representatives from Health, Police and Traffic Department Bandipora for their cooperation and for making the event a success.

Prof. Mehraj Din Dar, Convenor Sports, moderated the prize distribution ceremony.
