Deputy Commissioner Rajouri inaugurates job fair

District employment and counseling center (DECC) Rajouri today organized a job fair (rozgar mela) in collaboration with district administration here in Dak Bungalow Rajouri. More than 600 unemployed youth from different areas of the district participated in the Fair.

Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal inaugurated the job fair. The mela started with the inspection of the stalls by the Deputy Commissioner. He interacted with both the job givers as well as job seekers.

Deputy Director Employment Qadeer Ul Rehman briefed that this is the 5th job fair in the district and had attracted a good response for the job seekers as well as job givers. A detailed market survey was conducted and a total 219 vacancies were received for the different job givers which were given wide publicity through social and print media to attract the unemployed youth to the job fair.

About 28 companies participated and shortlisted 196 candidates for different vacancies. The Deputy Director also briefed the unemployed youth about various self employment schemes of mission youth and other line departments.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all the departments to provide maximum benefits of the self employment scheme to the unemployed youth and job and also directed the job givers to recruit maximum number of unemployed youth. The Deputy Commissioner also handed over sanction letters under various self employment schemes of mission youth.
