Bharatiya Janata Party today organised an Intellectual Meet at Tagore Hall in Srinagar in which prominent people from different walks of life participated. J&K BJP General Secretary (Org) Ashok Koul & Minister of State & Chairperson J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi interacted with the intellectual community regarding the achievements of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many prominent people presented their views and a fruitful debate took place. Later speaking on the occasion Ashok Koul said that intellectuals were the soft power of our nation and their guidance and opinion helps in giving right directions to the plans and programmes of the government. “Every intellectual appreciates the Modi Govt’s Public Welfare Initiatives and it was really great to listen to this positive feedback”, said Ashok Koul. While speaking to the gathering Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that this was the first government to remove the ailments from the working system. Many unwanted laws were removed in order to make the lives of people more comfortable. “Inclusive & equitable growth of all Indians is the aim of Modi Sarkar and during the past nine years the actions proved it”, said Darakhshan. She said that it was our government which ensured grass roots democracy in J&K for the first time. She assured that the party now expects early Assembly elections in J&K. “Those who are blaming us for shying away from democracy denied three-tier local body elections to the people of J&K for seven decades”, said Andrabi. Many other party leaders were also part of the event.
