GANDERBAL//ZUBAIR TANTRAY//KMN// A tree plantation drive was carried out by  SK Bala COB of Manasbal Bn to commemorate the World Environment Day and to spread the awareness among locals and students about the importance of integrated approach towards environment conservation and cleanliness.The tree plantation drive was organised with the theme of environment conservation to make Earth green and pollution free. The plantation drive was conducted  taking expertise of Forest deptt Bandipora. DDC Hajin, Sarpanchs, forest officials, locals and Students from nearby schools participated in plantation drive. A cleanliness drive was also conducted and students were told about the importance of planting trees and keeping surroundings clean. A pledge for environmental conservation was also taken by all.  This initiative of Indian Army towards protecting the environment was very well appreciated by everyone. Such activities also increases the bonhomie between Indian Army and the locals.
