KULGAM, MAY 18: In order to fix sale price of minor (raw material) and processed minerals in MTs instead of CFTs, a meeting of Multi Departmental District Level Task Force Committee (MD-DLTFC) was today held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at mini-secretariat, here.  The meeting held threadbare discussion regarding fixation of sale price of sand, Nallah bajri, Nallah boulders, Nallamukh RBM, crushing stone, aggregate of different size, crushed washed sand and crushed dust on the basis of the present market rates.  As per the details shared, the rate for sand per MT has been fixed at Rs 537.32 at source level while as Nallah Bajri per MT at Rs 250.02, Nallah Boulder stone at Rs 94.62 per MT, (Nallamukh) RBM Rs 98.05 per MT, Crushing Stone Rs 94.62per MT,  crushed dust at Rs 435.42 per MT, Clay Rs 66.21 per MT and Crusher Bajri Rs 435.42 per MT.  The DC, who is also chairperson of MD-DLTFC, directed the concerned officers to implement the rates of minor minerals at source level in letter and spirit so that common people and the stakeholders do not face the brunt of exorbitant rates.  He emphasized the concerned agencies to strengthen the mechanism of checking illegal extraction of sand and other minerals from river beds and directed for immediate installation of nakas at already identified locations.  Besides, DMFT funds were allocated in PMKKKY for different schemes in Mining affected areas for which Annual and action plan was directed to be framed immediately.  Later, the District Mineral Officer briefed the DC about the present status of mining blocks in the district.  The meeting was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri; ACD, Mohammad Imran; ASP, Shabir Ahmad; SE Hydraulics, DSWO, DFO, DMO, Ex. Engineer Irrigation, CMO,CAO and  other officers.
