Tangdhar, karnah, May 13,2023 One Earth,One Planet ,One Future is the theme of G20 under the Indian Presidency for one year till Nov 2023 from Kashmir to Kanyakumari .In this regard,  today on 13th of April 2023 Debates  and Seminars Committee in collaboration with NSS unit of Government Degree Colloge Tangdhar, organised an event on climate change .The main aim of this event was to increase awareness among students about how climate change affects the world  and the need to reverse it. In  this programme, officials and scholars from different fields were called to throw light on this important issue. Dr.Parvaiz Ahmad gave a special speech on climate chane and why it is important for people to contribute in combating global warming and climate change .He also reiterated that people should change their attitude towards earth and its environment and must get emotionally connected to it . Dr.Hafsa Bashir,  taking at  this event stressed that how it is important for the sake and survival of future generations to take care of the environment and prevent further climate change .She further highlighted the different strategies which  people can adopt to save further degradation of the environment. Senior Professor, Tariq Ahmad Shah delivered an emotional and epigrammatic speech , in which he stressed on the need to standup and to strive collectively for the sustainable development of the world .He pointed out that people should put in all possible efforts to save the Mother Earth as it is possibly the only planet that supports life. He highlighted the different laws which have  been made for the conservation and prevention of environmental degradation. Some thought-provoking speechs were delivered  by some talented students of the college , whose motive  was to make students aware that ecological crisis of the world presents one of the biggest challenges of our time. Convenor of Debates and Seminars Committee Prof.Ajaz Ahmad Padroo, during anchoring the event said that sensitive souls are always in awe of God’s creation and we all must accept that climate change is not to be  neglected because it is the question of our survival.He further emphasised that ecocide is a global problem because it’s disastrous effect are  not local but global, and we need global effort to reverse it. Prof.Tariq Ahmad shah  thanked all the staff members ,students, and organisers of the event.He   further emphasised on organising such events in the future as well .
