Holds DAC meeting, finalizes Action Plan for effective implementation of PC&PNDT Act

SHOPIAN, MAY 08: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today emphasized for regular monitoring and inspection of Clinical establishments particularly USG clinics across the district to ensure working of these clinical establishments as per standard norms.  The DC said this while chairing a meeting of the District Advisory Committee (DAC), here.   The committee discussed in detail the various provisions of Pre- Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act, 1994 and status of registration of USG clinics in the district.  On the occasion, the DC instructed for strict adherence to the Act and installation of CCTVs at the USG clinics.  He also asked for conduct of massive and multi-media awareness campaigns through visual, print and social media across the district in order to give proper fillip to the cause.  CMO, MS, DH, DIO, DSWO, BMOs, concerned specialists and other concerned attended the meeting.
