BANDIPORA, April 12: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Wednesday visited yatra transit camp shadipora to review the status of preparation for the shri Amarnath Ji yatra-2023.   The DC reviewed the arrangements being put in place and directed the concerned officers to ensure all required arrangements are put in place well before the commencement of the Yatra so that the pilgrims do not face any problem.  He directed for maintenance of proper sanitation and cleanliness and proper drinking water at the yatra transit camp besides proper accommodation.   The Deputy Commissioner inspected the upgraded accomodation facilities and said that all the necessary facilities shall be put in place well in advance.   He said last year various Departments  and local worked jointly to ensure hassle free yatra and said that in the upcoming yatra of this year locals will be engaged to boost the business activities and to provide facilities to pilgrims.   Dr. Owais said that more infrastructure shall be developed at the transit camp to ensure accomodation and other facilities to maximum number of pilgrims.   He urged the officers to work with zeal and in complete coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2023.   The DC was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Lakhay Sharma, Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, SDM Sumbal Amir choudhary, JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Executive Engineer R&B Sumbal, Executive Engineer PDD Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal and other senior officers of the district.
