1. On 02 Apr 2023, late evening, the Kalaroos COB received a distress call regarding a fire outbreak from the locals of Lashteyal village.
2. Immediately, a Quick Reaction Team was dispatched and alongside the civil emergency services, reached the location and controlled the blaze. With utter disregard for personal safety, the teams engaged in fire-fighting operations and managed to salvage the belongings. In close coordination with the fire department, the team safely contained the blaze, which otherwise would have proved disastrous.
3. The prompt action ensured that there was no loss of life and the fire was controlled immediately. The bravery and dedication of the Indian Army was highly appreciated by the locals.
