Bandipora admin distributes Food Kits among destitute families

BANDIPORA, MARCH 24: Bandipora district administration on Friday distributed Food items among destitute families of the district.

The food kits were arranged by Elfa International- a non governmental organisation (NGO) and handed over to 52 deserving families at mini Secretariat Bandipora.

Mohammad Ashraf Hakak District Programme officer/Nodal officer coordination who is also holding the charge of Assistant Commissioner Development supervised the whole process of distribution on behalf of administration.

The food kit comprise of essentials including Rice, Atta, Sugar, Cooking oil, Spices, Tea and other items.

Hakak said the families were selected after a proper survey and most deserving poor families were provided the essential items with the aim to reach out to poor and destitute families and to lend a helping hand to meet out the daily requirements.

Hakaak said lending a helping hand to the needy people is the collective responsibility of all and hailed the NGO for remembering the needy people during the holy month
