Teetwal Karnah, March 20.
Sharda Idol is all set to be installed at Teetwal Karnah,a historic town of Jammu and Kashmir on the LOC.

The Idol was brought to the hinterland after the Deputy commissioner Kupwara Dr. Dofide Dattray Sagar gave green signal to the cavalcade by driving the vehicle Laden with the idol from Kupwara to Chowkibal on Monday.

Save Sharda Committee Kashmir(SSCK) Ravinder Pandita said that the Idol is brought from the Karnataka and is going to be consecrated in the historic town on the LOC on March 22.

He said the installation of idol will usher a new era of peace and harmony in the town on the LoC which has witnessed turbulent times in the recent years due to ceasefire violations and cross border shelling.

“We are expecting good times for devotees who would throng this place for worship and Yatra in much the same way as it used to be in pre partition days” he said.
