Dr Samoon reviews pending court cases of Skill Development Department

JAMMU, MARCH 15: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr Asgar Samoon, today chaired a meeting to review the status of pending Court cases/contempt cases pertaining to Skill Development Department.

The meeting was attended by Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, Leena Padha; Director SDD, Sudershan Kumar; Special Secretary, SDD, M Ashraf Bhat; Senior Law Officer, SDD; Joint Directors, ITI, Jammu/Kashmir; Concerned Additional Advocate Generals/Deputy Advocate General High Court, Jammu besides other concerned officers of both the divisions participated inline.

Threadbare discussion was held on various pending court cases.

Principal Secretary instructed both the HoDs to ensure coordination to take immediate necessary steps for speedy disposal of the court cases so that the bottlenecks, if any, can be resolved at an earliest.

Principal Secretary was informed that the Joint Directors of respective divisions have been nominated as Nodal Officers in ITI Sector besides Shafqat Ara, Principal, Polytechnic, Women, Srinagar and Tabassum Geelani, have been also nominated as Nodal Officers in Polytechnics sector in both the divisions for immediate coordination and support to the legal section of the Directorate. The legal section, comprising Deputy Director trainings as Nodal Officer with Associate Law Officer and MTS staff as members, has been entrusted with the task of immediate filing of objections in all the pending court cases after vetting from Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs .

Principal Secretary further instructed all the concerned officers to ensure immediate compliance to all the court orders wherever court has ordered to pass consideration orders.

Deputy Secretary law assured the authorities to provide all necessary legal assistance wherever required for ensuring immediate disposal of all the pending court cases.
