Director YSS flags-off 15 Day Educational Tour of GCOPE Students

Jammu March 07: The Director Youth Services and Sports J&K Subash C Chhibber on Tuesday flagged-off a group of 30 college students for an educational tour from the Directorate Office Sports Complex here. Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports for the students of Government College of Physical Education (GCOPE) Ganderbal, the annual educational tour is a regular affair.
The students had left for Jammu on 6th of the current month and on their arrival in Jammu, they were warmly received by the officers and officials of the Directorate of YS&S and were later-on flagged-off for the further journey.
A contingent of 30 students comprising of BPEd and MPEd students of the college are being escorted by 2 senior teachers from the college.
Joint Directors of both the provinces, Deputy Director Central, Deputy Director Plan, Accounts Officer and other officials from Directorate were also present on this occasion.
Dr. Nazir Ahmad Waza, Assistant Professor of the college briefed the officers about the journey plan.
Director YSS while throwing light on the need and importance of such tours said that such trips are one of the best ways to break through that monotony and bring in a welcoming change to the daily routine. The fun and excitement that the participating students feel are evident at how their face lights up at the mere mention of educational trips. In fact, the benefits of such trips extend way beyond the enthusiasm of going beyond the usual routine. Director Sports recommended the students to maintain the tour diary and formulate a feedback report on their return. He also appreciated the students for their active and lively involvement in the tour.
Dr. Hartej Singh, Principal GCOPE presented his gratitude to Director YSS and all other senior officer for their heartening gesture of receiving the contingent warmly and for an impressive flagg-off.
