The Line of Control (LoC) and the areas alongside have been enjoying a peaceful time as there have been no ceasefire violations for last 2 years. People living along borders in Jammu and Kashmir are heaving a sigh of relief as India and Pakistan reiterate the ceasefire agreement. People living along the LoC in Kashmir say they hope the ceasefire agreement lasts long even as their daily routine has started picking up pace again. Bilal lone , a shopkeeper in the border area of Tangdar, said every sphere of life for them is dependant on how silent the guns remain from both sides. The people are now heaving a sigh of relief as markets are flourishing and farming is done without fear. It should be noted that Border areas like Karnah suffered many civilian casualties due to mortars/fire from the Pakistani side prior to ceasefire.
