G20 Summit is going to open surfeit of opportunities for India, especially Kashmir. The one day seminar conducted by Degree College Sogam in collaboration with Indian Army was aimed to create awareness amongst the youth of Kashmir about G20 Summit, the opportunities & avenues which the Summit is going to open and instil in them a sense of responsibility for smooth conduct of G20. The event was presided by Dr Doifode Sagar Dattatray, IAS, DC Kupwara, Co-presided by Col Anupam Hajela, Commanding Officer 28 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion and Co-hosted by Dr Shamim Ahmad Dar, Principal Govt Degree college, Sogam. The Guest of Honour for the event was Mr Yougal Manhas, JKPS, SSP Kupwara.

The event saw various subject experts and professors from different colleges and universities speaking about relevant topics on G20 with emphasis on Kashmir. As per the students who attended, the informative seminar was an eye opener and one of its kind event which Lolab witnessed. The enthusiasm and impact the seminar had on the youth of Lolab were evident by the array of questions and overwhelming participation by the students. Such initiatives and their success are testimony to the changing Kashmir and her gallop towards the meadows of development and a brighter future.
