BANDIPORA, JANUARY 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Saturday chaired a meeting of District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) of FPOs at conference Hall of mini secretariat, here.

The meeting discussed threadbare various measures for formation and promotion of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) under the central sector scheme.

The meeting also discussed the proposals for formation of new FPOs as per the baseline survey report of CBBOs.

The DC asked the concerned to identify the gap if any in farm practices and come up with a proper financial plan so that farmers can avail maximum benefit through FPOs.

Dr. Owais asked the concerned to take concrete steps for value addition of farmer’s produce and guide them in market linkage.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Horticulture Planning and Marketing Officer, Incharge CBBO IGSSS, Incharge NAFED and other concerned.
