The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned officers to mobilize a maximum number of people for the participation in the National event to make it more attractive and joyful.

Among others, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma; ADC, Harbans Sharma; ACR, Gias-Ul-Haq; ACD Ashok Katoch; Dy. DEO Lal Chand,  senior officers of the Army, IRP, SDRF, and all other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that the district-level function shall be organized at District Police Lines Ground,   where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by a march past by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, JKAP, Forest Protection Force, Army band and platoons for schools.

A threadbare discussion was held on the arrangements related to the smooth conduct of the function like seating, barricading, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, fire services, security, transport, traffic regulations, illumination of government buildings and other necessary arrangements on the national day function.

The DC directed district heads of all departments to ensure their presence at the Republic Day function at District Headquarters, while directing their subordinate officers and officials to attend national functions in their respective jurisdictions.

The DC constituted different Committees to ensure foolproof arrangements including Cultural Programme Monitoring Committee, Reception Committee, etc to make the National function a grand success.

On the occasion, SSP reviewed security and traffic management-related arrangements and assured foolproof arrangements during the R-Day celebration.
