Poonch  POONCH, DECEMBER 29: The Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of Tenth Guru Sri Gobind Singh Ji was celebrated with great religious fervour and gaiety across Poonch District.  A grand function in this connection was held at Gurdwara Singh Sabha city  Poonch. A large number of people from all walks of life participated in the congregation and paid the obeisance.  After the accomplishment of Shri Akhand Path Sahib,  Gurbani kirtan was recited by  the Hazuri Ragi Jatha Shri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar Bhai Jagjit Singh Noor, Dadhi Jatha Bhai Shemshar Singh from Akal Takhat Sahib and local Ragi Jathas Bhai Harcharan Singh, Bhai Rasmeet Singh, Bhai Manjeet Singh and others.  In the programme, General Secretary DGPC, Poonch, S.Harcharan Singh  anchored the programme.   Bhai Ravinder Singh, Parcharak from Sikh Missionary Circle Poonch ,  threw light on the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.  During the smagam,  President DGPC, Narinder Singh,  threw light on the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He said Guru Gobind Singh Ji laid down his own life and sacrificed his father, mother and sons for the sake of humanity and protection of the right cause of humanity.  Finally, President of DGPC, Narinder Singh  thanked the Sangat, Sewadars, Ragi Jatha and Parcharak for participation and cooperation. Guru ka langer was also served during this Smagam.
