The Chillai Kalan Festival, which is called the ‘Festivals of Festivals’, is a 2-day annual cultural festival of South Kashmir that showcases the rich and diverse Kashmiri Culture through folk dances, traditional music, local cuisine, handicraft, art workshops, etc.

The Festival is celebrated in Shopian to encourage tourism and to preserve, protect and revive the uniqueness and richness of the Kashmiri heritage. It is being organized by the locals of Shopian with support from various government departments.
