Chuntiwari, 11 Oct 2022. On the historic Day of 11th Oct 2011, the UN passed a resolution and dedicated 11th Oct to be celebrated as the International Day of Girl Child Every Year. This year the 10th anniversary of the event was celebrated in the remote village of Chuntiwari, close to the Line Of Control in Kupwara district of Jammu And Kashmir. A host of events were organised in the Army Goodwill School, Raghvan to commemorate this special Day with the brave and special girls of this Area. The events included a Lecture by one of the girl students on empowerment, followed by a Poster Making Competition & Personality Sketches of famous personalities by school girls. The event was attended by a large number girls and women from nearby villages.
