Comm Secy visits Kupwara; Reviews progress, performance of Revenue department

KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 12: Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, today had an exhaustive tour of Kupwara to review progress and performance of Revenue department in the district.

In this regard, Commissioner Secretary convened an officers meeting which was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Doifode Sagar Dattatray besides, Additional District Development Commissioner,  Altaf Ahmad Khan; ADC Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat; ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; ACR Kupwara, SDM Karnah, Tehsildars and other concerned officers.

Commissioner Secretary took a detailed review of digitization of land records, DILRMP, status of Kahcharai land, eviction of state land, status of girdawaries, status of custodian land, Waqaf Council properties, Public Service Guarantee Act, status of court cases, , SVAMITVA, PM Kissan. He also had feedback from the officers regarding progress on these schemes.

Commissioner Secretary appreciated the work of district administration including revenue officers and officials for registering substantial progress on digitization of land records. He asked the officers to ensure frequent visits to far flung areas and attend public grievances in a friendly manner.

Commissioner Secretary also reviewed the staff strength position and facilities being provided to the Revenue Officers including accommodation and conveyance.

Deputy Commissioner briefed the Commissioner Secretary regarding the performance of Revenue department in the district.

Regarding removal of encroachment on state land, Commissioner Secretary directed the officers to erect a board notifying the state land. He directed for removal of encroachments on major portions especially areas coming under Roshni Act.
