Under the aegis of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 108 feet tall National Flag has been constructed in Langate Park. Furling 108 feet high is visible from most parts of district kupwara. It is worth mentioning here that the park is the most beautiful local visiting place in district Kupwara, people from different villages of kupwara and sopore visited this park which is situated on the sides of Baramullah- -Kupwara National Highway.
This is the fourth tallest national flag in Kashmir planted in Langate. People hailed the Indian army which dedicated such an honour and respect to the people of langate. This 108 feet tall flag adds more beauty and decoration to the park. Once a hardcore terrorist and stone pelting zone, langate is changing with every passing year. Langate has turned into Love-gate of peace, brotherhood and fraternity, embodied by creatures of other religions. In langate Hindu Temple and Masjid Shareef are situated on the same national highway very close to each other sending across a strong massage of communal harmony and kashmiryat Kashmir is famous for.
Furling 108 feet Trianga, signifies our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. The campaign for Har Gar trianga has brought our home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of Independence Day. Thus becomes symbolic of not only act of personal connection to the national flag but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.
108 feet is the first tallest national flag in north Kashmir which call upon the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promotes awareness about the Indian National Flag. This National Flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people in Kashmir. It occupies a unique and special place in the emotions and psyche of the people of Kashmir.
Pertinently, our National anthem, national song, and national flag are symbols of our country. They determine our struggle, sacrifice, love and patriotism for the nation. This also denotes integrity and unity. This tall flag also reminds us about our duties and responsibilities towards our nation-building. This promise of unity in diversity gives a clear message that our nation has no place for violence, but for peace, prosperity and development.
My Flag is my respect and privilege for my country. It is not used as a showcase but as the sacrifice of thousands of martyred who deserve immense respect and honour. As a Kashmiri it makes me feel proud to acknowledge the accomplishments and victories that we’ve witnessed by staying united under this flag. The flag is the symbol of unity, sacrifice and honour of the citizens. Over the last five decades, several people including members of the armed forces have ungrudgingly laid down their lives to keep the tricolor flying in its full glory.
Through Ghar Ghar Tiranga movement brought a reminder to us towards our duties and obligations for the Nation. This very movement seems to be a part of it followed by Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. This Har Ghar Tiranga movement is a reminder for us that we have our obligations towards our Nation that we always have to remember, we must have a sense of respect towards all our National Symbols, including the foremost of all our Prestigious Tricolor (The Tiranga).
